The Reggae Pizza

Reggae Bar is a favourite hangout place of mine as a student,
because the foods and drinks there are really affordable compare to other bars.
It is usually a place to go to before a night on the town.

The Hawaiian Pizza in Reggae Bar is definitely in the top list of my favourite dish.
It is so juicy, cheesy, crunchy and it smells like "desperation"..
I mean  ya it taste too delicious for me. ;)

Nom* Nom* Nom* Nom* Couldn't resist the amount of the cheese and pineapples.
Guess what, the Tequila is just for RM9 per shot! :D

The Signature Xiao Long Bao @ Paradigm Mall

Have you ever seen Xiao Long Bao in various of colours?
I've heard a lot of reviews about these little colourful buns.
These Chinese buns are stuffed with minced pork and steamed in bamboo baskets.
As a fans of Xiao Long Bao, I've decided to visit Paradise Dynasty @ Paradigm Mall

This multi-coloured buns come in eight colours and each one represents different flavour.
White - Original. Green - Ginseng. Brown - Fois Gras. Black - Truffle. Yellow -Cheesy. Orange -Crab Roe. Grey - Garlic. Pink - Szechuan
The Cheesy one was surprisingly yummy, it is not as oily as I thought. Mmm*

Xiao Long Bao are best to be eaten while they are hot and they taste even better for me after a dip in the vinegar. What is the right ways to eat Xiao Long Bao?

  1.  Gently lift the soup dumpling from the basket to your spoon, placing extra care not to break the skin of the dumpling.
  2. Chew off a portion of the dumpling skin from the side to allow cooling of the soup broth and pork filling. (Note that the dumplings are very hot and do not eat the entire dumpling immediately to avoid scalding)
  3. Sip the soup broth from the opening you chewed off earlier.
  4. Complement with ginger slices and vinegar, you may now eat the dumpling.

Other than the signature Xiao Long Bao, we have also ordered the Pork Slice La Mian.
Which taste pretty good too! Overall, the food is very affordable.
Nice service and environment which worth us a try!

Hokkien Mee @ Tititwangsa, KL

As everyone even the foreigners know that Malaysia has a lot of delicious foods but I as a Malaysian I think the best food for the Chinese especially the “hokkien” is a food call “hokkienmee”.

“Hokkienmee” is a very command food in Malaysia but do you know where you can find the best “hokkienmee” ? It is just in Kuala Lumpur which nearby Hospital Tawakal opposite a famous lake named Titiwangsa. “hokkienmee” is actually refer to fried noodles cooked in hokkien(fujian) stlye.  Hokkienmee is served in many Southeast Asian countries (mostly in Malaysia and Singapore) and was brought there by immigrants from the Fujian province in southeastern China.

There are two different types of noodles which are cooked by the hokkien style, one of them are called Hokkienhaemee and the other one is called hokkien char mee. Today I am going to introduce you what is Hokkien Char Mee. I still cannot remember that when I was young my grandfather rings me to a stall and eat Hokkien Char Mee for our supper. It is so delicious until I cannot even imagine the taste of it. I can still clearly remember how do the boss cook the Hokkien Char Mee, surprisingly, he is not using stove to cook the noodles but he is using coal to cook it.

Using coal to cook “hokkien Char Mee” is a very traditional kind off cooking. Nowadays, in the 2012 new generation, they want everything in convenience they just simply cook it with the stove and do not care about the traditional way. The days go by very quickly my grandfather has passed away when I was still 15 year old. I cannot even find one stall that cook Hokkienmee with coal but until yesterday. I found one and it is just placed it nearby my house. It brings me back to the childhood, I will never forget the taste. I am so happy when I saw the cook is cooking Hokkienmee with coal. Why do you all still hesitate? Please move on to the Restoran Aik Yuen at the back of Tawakal Hospital for the special and traditional hokkienmee.

'Indian' Mamak Store @ Taman Mayang,PJ

There was one day in the middle of the night I was doing assignment with my friends in his house. I definitely will remember the night because I am going to starve to death on when I was doing the assignment  I was thinking all kind of delicious food in my brain. But it is in the middle of the night, I don’t think that I can get delicious food. Suddenly, my friends suggested me to go to a 24 hours opening Indian store which all Malaysians name it as “makmak”.

At first, I was been force to go there because I don’t ever trust that there will be nice food in a makmak store. Unfortunately, I still have to go because I am starving to death. My friends fetch me there to the makmak named Williams which is placed on Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya. They ordered seafood pasta with olive oil for me. Within 10 minutes, my food has been serving in front of me. I was so impress that the looking of the pasta is so delicious and it is a very big potion.

There is all kind of seafood such as, big prawn, small prawn, scallops, vegetables, cuttlefish, clam and plenty of pasta with many olive oil. It looks so delicious and I can’t stop staring on the food and I just grab on to a pair of fox and spoon and starting to eat the delicious food. Three of us including me were eating the pasta like people who just came out from a place which did not eat anything within a few days. We ate like a thugs and everyone around us was looking at we three. But we three do not care of our image because the food is so damn delicious and I really could not stand of eating all of them.  But we had a big surprise when we are paying the bill after all. It cost us only RM30 for the delicious pasta and I will never forget that place and I diffidently will introduce this to my other friends.
